Hi Arvind, there is a serious discrepancy in your aieee 2009 cutoffs. Mere extrapolations may not work this time. Request you for a more considered and realistic view. Lot of my students have performed way below their normal average scores in mock exams,

@Anonymous : There are many ways to solve such errors...some exams give extra marks...some try to calculate it to reduced marks and then scale it up to the actual marks...Wait and see what happens :)

@Everyone: As I have said time and again I have no idea about the AIEEE statewise cutoff....That cutoff was for your national rank...so please stop commenting about the college in which you are expecting a seat

this is Akshay ... fine i'm sorry about the earlier message. but if we dont talk about the rank thing and about the institutes on the basis of the all india rank.. then which institues are according to you among the top 10 institutes in the country.. actually i'm a bit confused because all different magazines publish there own set of colleges bringing private ones first...

Hello sir. I was just wondering where BITS pilani is placed as an institution (of course, my sis is there, and i HAVE heard a lot about it, but i'm asking w.r.t the IIT's). I'm probably not going to get a good stream in JEE, so if i get something good in BITS, should i go for it? Or does the IIT brand name really matter that much in reality?

hello sir,
my rank is around 140 in aieee but thats coz i dint prepare well i was preprn 4 bitsat in a slow and steady way, but now i know that more than a million are doing better than me 4 the same exam.i m workin hard but i wonder if it will pay... as there are so many students with hard coachng and also people with not very good rank will be eyeing it. how will i get an edge? my exanms on 27 may and i m preparing pcm frm TMG, arrihant, and HC verma resp.

@pranya: You are following standard books for preparation....You are just short of practice.....Since you say you are slow try to practice many papers
Say from May 15 you give one paper everyday....you might be irritated to attempt one paper everyday but it will improve your chances of a getting a good score....
