There are various topics in chem. that are not given in NCERT or CBSE books.Some of them are :

Dyes: Classification with examples – Indigo, methyl orange, aniline yellow, alizarin, malachite green; Advanced materials: Carbon fibers, ceramics, micro alloys; Detergents; Insect repellents, pheromones, sex attractants; Rocket Propellants,Cosmetics: Creams, perfumes, talcum powder, deodorants;Petroleum-refining & uses,prep. of aniline yellow,iodoform,di benzyl acetone etc.

sir...my bits exam is on 25..i have completed only 40 percent of my portion...i'm studying around 8-10 hours and i'm unable to concentrate on physics and chemistry snd i'm very intrested in doing maths..sir i request you to please give me some tips how to study as till now i had wasted all my time and want to get serious...please give me some tips so that i can get through..i'm waiting for your reply..

Hi Janu,
You also need to practise and English and Logical Reasoning. No separate preparation required if you are good with English. As for Logical Reasoning your BITSAT mock tests would help

Hi Kaushik,
Three days, less time to adapt to any advice. Anyways these three days revise formulas and basic problems....and when you take the mock bitsat just see what all mistakes you are committing

Some common mistakes I had done - Must help
1) Forgetting to multiply with pi
2) Taking radius for Diameter and Diameter for Radius
3) Taking g=10 instead of 9.8 though it was clearly mentioned in the question that g-9.8
4) a/b=c/d implies ad=bc - But in a hurry what you do is ac = bd
5) Confusion between different types of circles of a triangle
6) Taking the wrong values of cos or sin or tan during calculations especially when the resultant value leads to zero like cos270
7) Taking the wrong moment of Inertia
8) Adding frictional force in the wrong direction - it is always opposite to the direction of motion :)
9) Confusion using the right hand rule
10) Taking the wrong value of a mole

People can add more here - I will better make it as a post in future :)

Hi Piyush.
Solving online papers now is not the correct approach. Complete your syllabus. From 17 or 18 start taking one test per day. The way I see it you have taken some tests, so you could even start taking tests from May 20. But try and complete your syllabus.

Also try to concentrate on the weak areas which you might have come across while taking the tests
